Announcements:

I am currently writing at Computelogy.com actively and that's why i sort of abandoned my own tech blog. Since i am too busy to be taking care of both sides, i guess this blog will go into hibernation for a very very long time. Regrettable, but then it's hard to come up with new posts & stuffs.

So once again, i am now writing actively at Computelogy. Feel free to visit there and enjoy our latest articles and posts!

Join the BullGuard v9 Beta Program!

I was wandering aimlessly around the web (apparently wasting my time again) when i came across this very encouraging beta offer from Bullguard Security Team. Although i know Bullguard & its line of Internet Security products for some time, i admit that i have long thought that the company is no longer operational, because there are just no news that surfaced about them anywhere on the web.

Anyway, they proved that they are still existing and are pulling out a public call for users to participate in their beta program for Bullguard Internet Security v9, their flagship product which uses a licensed and modified version of the BitDefender antivirus engine. I tried their stuffs more than two years ago when i ditched the first-ever antivirus i used, AVG, for a better antivirus software (i eventually settled down for Avast!) and Bullguard isn't too bad for PC security.

Here are what was stated in the Beta Program Signup Page:

BullGuard 9.0 is a major upgrade to our current version, the 8.5:

We have completely redesigned the user interface

We've implemented One-Click Actions.
Backup and scanning is much easier and faster than before.
BullGuard 9.0 includes a brand new On Access scan function, with reduced resource consumption.
The Firewall is much easier to configure and runs unobtrusively, without asking unnecessarily technical questions.
There’s an AntiPhishing feature in your Internet browser.
One of our favourites is a Patch Management plug-in, which ensures that all your installed software applications are always updated with the latest patch.

..and there are plenty more really cool improvements, of course

And they are even as nice as to attach an image of the BIS v9 screen-shot for our viewing pleasure:

So if you're interested in Beta-Testing for Bullguard Development Team, you can sign up for testing by visiting this Beta Program Signup page from Bullguard. The beta-testing period is expected to begin starting late September and proceed for at least two to three months, so there's enough time for testing!
