Two Small, Handy n Free Tools to Capture Web-Page Snap

Some time ago, friend James shared a free tool IESnapShot to take snaps of any web page. That is really a very nice tool. I thought to share the two free tools which I use; Simple Webpage Capture and WebShot. These are very small and handy tools which follow Usability and Accessibility guidelines. This means they are easy to understand and easy to use.

Taking complete snap of majority of webpages is difficult because normally these webpages are larger in length compared to computer screen. So capturing computer screen in snap will not give you complete picture of webpage. If you are on the move, can not access Internet when you need, want to use complete webpage as reference or whatever the reason is, taking full snap of webpage is better idea. Click on respective name to read more at its own website.

Simple Webpage Capture:

This is my favorite tool to capture webpages. There are some strong reasons like manual setting of width of your webpage snap, addition of watermark and its own browser to show us what we are getting in webpage snap. This means you can take the snap as wide as your screen is. You do not have to worry about webpage length. It will automatically take snap of whole webpage. And addition of watermark function saves your time and effort to add watermark through other software. When you write the address of a webpage to take snap, it opens its own integrated browser in which you can see the desired webpage. When webpage is opened, simply click the button take Screenshot and the snap is ready in no time. The output will be in PNG, JPG, TIF, GIF and BMP.

WebShot:

Webshot is able to take snap of one webpage as well as a list of webpages at one time. In Simple Webpage Capture, you resize the integrated browser for the best shot, but in Webshot you can tell about the height and width in pixels. You can set image quality. The output will be in JPG, GIF, PNG, and BMP formats. It has the ability to block pop-ups popups (javascript popups, script dialogs, injected via wmp popups, etc) while taking snap. The automatic determination of page width and height that captures the whole page accurately. Frame dimensions are determined and calculated on pages that have them. It also creates a complete log of taken actions.
